About the LDA projects

Below is a selection of some of our projects which we support across our four themes: Places and infrastructure, Supporting people, Encouraging business and Promoting London.

Film London
Within the creative industries, film and media generate many new jobs and businesses. 

Visitor Accommodation in London
Encouraging the supply of visitor accommodation across London, report which looks at encouraging the development of visitor accommodation across all of London. 

West London Tourism Strategy and Action Plan
This strategy, a joint venture between the LDA, West London Business and Visit London, is a ground breaking blueprint aimed at boosting tourism in West London. 

Old Poplar Library
The redevelopment of Old Poplar Library is the first stage of the regeneration of the entire area known as Poplar Riverside, with the second stage development Container Futures, offering even more office space. 

Creative Space Agency
The Creative Space Agency helps the creative sector make greater use of temporarily vacant space and buildings in the capital. 

Construction Web
Construction Web promotes opportunities in employment, training, workforce development and business development in the construction industry for people in North London. 

Talent
Talent is an online community of adult basic skills teachers which was launched in 2000 to support an East London project known as 'talent East'. 

Well Served
Project is in part an extenison of the Craft Skills pilot project to deliver an Academy of Food and Wine service programme for restaurant, room service and bar employees. 

Deptford and New Cross Town Centre Management (TCM)
This programme aims to enhance and promote the economic viability of Deptford and New Cross town centres. 

North London Tourism and Action Plan 2005 to 2007
This action plan, drafted jointly by the London Development Agency and North London Ltd, seeks to harness the benefits of North London’s strengths.
