Centre of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence

CEME is an exciting partnership between Ford, LDA, Barking and Havering Further Education Colleges and the Heart of Thames Gateway.

CEME will drive local business, increase the value of the local economy and promote exemplary manufacturing methods. It will also provide local skills training.

The new development includes a conference centre accommodating 300 people, a learning resource centre, a creche for 50 children, retail shops and office space, plus a satellite facility housing 45 start-up companies. It opened its doors for business in September 2003.
