Procurement Code

The London Development Agency (LDA) works with partners, businesses and other organisations to lead the regional agenda for regeneration and economic development across London.

Procurement is an important tool used to facilitate the delivery of the LDA's statutory and corporate objectives. It is the responsibility of everyone to ensure that public money is used in a manner that is effective, efficient and achieves value for money.

Procurement relates to the purchase of all goods, services, supplies and works and this Procurement Code covers every aspect of this type of purchase.

As a public sector body the LDA Procurement Code has been developed to be consistent with Government initiatives and the national procurement strategy for local government which was issued in October 2003.

It will: "ensure that all procurement activity reflects the latest best practices in procurement, which will include the promotion of equality, accessibility, sustainability, transparency, and value for money, so that the LDA's procurement has a positive impact on London’s economic development."
