This update reports on the achievements of the London Development Agency's Tourism team for the second year of the Tourism Action plan.
The Action Plan is the first of three plans to deliver the London Tourism Vision 2006-16. This plan aims to lay the tourism foundations need to contribute to the success of the London Games in 2012.
The progress report also includes the highlights of work for 2007 - 2008 and the how the team are progressing on delivering the vision for London.
The vision for London focuses on four areas:
• improving the visitor experience - by running signage, training and information projects that provide a better welcome to visitors;
• providing support to business - helping them improve their quality standards, marketing, customer service, accessibility and sustainability;
• spreading the benefits of tourism across London
• promoting the capital domestically and overseas through Visit London.
