  • LDA hands control of the Park to the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA).

2008

  • CompeteFor – online support for business launched.
  • London Business Network launched with London Business Board.
  • Appointment of legacy masterplanners (EDAW, KCAP and Allies and Morrison).
  • LDA working with key partners takes forward planning for the post Games Park and its surrounding areas.
  • Consultation with local communities, businesses, stakeholders and partners on potential options for the post Games Park.
  • Pan-London Job Brokerage goes live.
  • Main construction works on Main Stadium and Aquatics Centre begins.
  • Personal Best rolled our across London.
  • Beijing Games Closing Ceremony / Handover to London / Start of Cultural Olympiad.

2009

  • Procurement for Games-time goods and service begins.
  • International Broadcast and Media Centre construction begins.
  • Velopark construction begins.

2010

  • London 2012 Official Volunteer Programme launches.

2011

  • Tickets go on sale for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
  • Pre-Games test events.
  • Upgrade of Stratford Regional Station, North London Line and Olympic Route Network completed.
  • Aquatics Centre, Olympic Stadium and Velopark construction completed.

2012 onwards

  • London Olympic Games 27 July to 12 August.
  • London Paralympic Games 29 August to 9 September.
  • Legacy work with Olympic Park and surrounding communities continues.
