Vision for the Lower Lea Valley

The London Development Agency (LDA) has published a vision for the Lower Lea Valley with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Thames Gateway Development Corporation.

This document sets out how the wider area will soon be transformed into a thriving residential and commercial area supporting 32,000 homes and 50,000 new jobs.

An addition to the vision, the Mayor of London brought together partners to produce the Opportunity Area Planning Framework for the Lower Lea Valley (OAPF), a proposed planning policy statement for the 1,450 hectare core area.

The OAPF is accompanied by a number of documents including the Socio-Economic Strategies, which provide a detailed analysis of current issues and opportunities and identify the supporting actions required to deliver the vision.
