In October 2002, the London Development Agency commissioned a three year pan-London project to develop the capacity of the Black and Minority Ethnic Third Sector, through provision of:
The project was delivered through a partnership of the LDA, Black Training & Enterprise Group, Institute of Fundraising, and London Voluntary Service Council. In November 2005, the partners commissioned the evaluation of the project, which was won by Roehampton University Centre for Nonprofit & Voluntary Sector Management, in association with London School of Economics Centre for Civil Society.
The evaluation found that the project was successful:
A key recommendation of the evaluation was that the London Development Agency should take the lead in disseminating the model of Third-Public Sector partnership working that drove forward effective delivery of the project's aims and objectives.
